Agres
CASTELL i SANTUARI DE LA MARE DE DÉU D’AGRES
It is one of the most emblematic and most visited places in Agres. It is built on the remains of an old castle to the south of the town in a natural location between torrents and forests of leafy trees, on an elevation of the land, being an important center of Marian devotion to the south of the Valencian Community since the late fifteenth century.
ESGLÈSIA PARROQUIAL DE SANT MIQUEL
It is a majestic building located on the remains of an old castle. It is also located at a certain elevation with respect to the ground. Today it continues to operate by celebrating Mass every Sunday. It is even one of the most important Marian congregation centers in the Valencian community.
LA TORRE D’ATALAIA
It is considered an Asset of cultural Interest. This is a construction of Muslim origin. And its function was to safeguard access to a castle that has already disappeared.
The Route of the Fountains:
This route will take us to know all the urban sources that the municipality of Agres has. The route is circular and the route mixes heritage with everything related to water in the municipality. Therefore, this route is a good opportunity to get to know the whole municipality and be able to taste the pure water of the Sierra Mariola.
